Inspired by Ingredients that are considered some of the planets best health rejuvenators the Banana-Berry-Zest smoothie includes wild blueberries, acai berries and lemon peel that are rich in anti-oxidants for preventing disease while offering a surplus of good energy. Lemon peel  has 5-10 times more vitamins then lemon juice with valuable bioflavonoids, properties to eradicate toxic elements, combat stress and support healthy cell growth.  While both bananas and lemon peel have numerous anti-microbial properties to inhibit bacterial and fungal infections and enhance intestinal health. All of these ingredients add up to one super nutritious yummy smoothie that is sure to become your new favorite thing.

2 T. chia seeds in 1/4 c. purified water (soaked at least 30 minutes)
1 Banana
1 packet organic unsweetened Acai puree
1/2 c. Wild blueberries
1 quarter lemon peel frozen or 1/2 T. Lemon zest (Meyer’s lemon is the best)
1 c. unsweetened Almond or Coconut milk
1 c. purified water
1 scoop protein powder of your choice
a pinch of Temple Taste Persian Masala 
Optional: 1 t. Elderberry syrup for extra immune support

Soak Chia seeds for at least 30 minutes 
 Place all ingredients into the blender and whirl on high until smooth. (about 30 seconds)
Note: Lemon peel can be sliced and frozen which will breakdown the cellular walls allowing for better absorption of nutrients.
Makes 2 servings and can be refrigerated for a couple of days in a sealed container.
