The best, simply the best.  This recipe is for all the cookie loving kids I know and the adult cookie loving kids too. Step aside chips ahoy cause Temple Taste has a chocolate chip cookie that is like the old fashioned kind: crispy texture, rich flavor and taste that will have you coming back for more, but without the terrible sugar hang over. And chips ahoy to my family Emma Moon and Everest, two upcoming kitchen creators following in the amazing foot steps of their mother. (My chef hat is off to you – your Shi-nanny Loves You!!)
And to all the new friends I will make posting, this recipe. This is like having the doors opened to the cookie bliss express.. A love offering that is like the secret sauce of Temple Taste.  .

Ingredients:
1/2 c. Smooth Almond Butter
1/4 c. Unsalted Butter (melted grass-fed)
3/8 c. Golden Monk Fruit
2 t. Vanilla Extract
1/2 t. Baking Soda
1/4 t. Real Salt
1 Egg (locally-pasture -raised)
1 c. Almond Flour
1/2 c. Dark Chocolate Chips or IMontezuma’s Dark Chocolate is my favorite and keto-friendly
1/2 c. Raw Walnuts or Pecans
Option: 1 t. Temple Taste Persian Masala (just cause cardamom and rose makes everything better)

Directions:
Pre-heat the oven 350 degrees.
Mix the following ingredients in bowl in the order in which they are listed, whisking the egg with a fork before placing it in the bowl.
And if you are using the Montezuma Dark Chocolate Bar keep it in its foil package and use the handle of a large knife to crush it up into small chunks. Use the same knife to chop up the nuts. Measure and place in the bowl with all the other ingredients.
Using a large spoon combine all of the ingredients and when everything is mixed, together well.
Place a large piece of  parchment paper on a cookie sheet.
Use a Tablespoon spring scooper to form nicely shaped cookies onto the sheet.
Or a regular Tablespoon will work, just take a little extra time to shape them as they will not melt down when they bake.
Place in the oven and bake for 11 minutes or until golden around the edges.

Note: Montezuma chocolate has no added sugar and is very high quality, keto-friendly and worth the few carbs it has.

The stevia sweetened chocolate may be too sweet and my experience is the stevia sweetened chocolate chips melt funny.
