Raw Cacao Bliss Balls made with International Masalas
Wet Ingredients:
1.5 c. Dates pitted
1/2 c. Coconut Mana (coconut butter)
1/2 c. Purified Water (use water from soaking dates)
2 t. Chocolate Extract (or substitute with Vanilla extract)
1.5 t.Temple Taste Mexican Mole or Persian Masala
Dry Ingredients:
1/2 c. Almond Flour or Ground Sesame Seeds
1/2 c. Raw Cacao Powder
1/2 c. Coconut Flakes (unsweetened)
For Rolling
1/4 c. Coconut flakes and 1/4 c. Almond Four or ground Sesame Seeds with a 1/8 t. Masala
Variation; Include 1 T. Rose or Orange water in the 1/2 c water or add 2-3 drops of Doterra Wild Orange or Rose Oil
Additional Substitutions: If you do not have coconut mana use ground coconut flakes and 1/2 c. of virgin coconut oil
Directions:
(Pit the dates and if the sugars have crystallized or hardened soak them in boiling water for a few minutes and drain before using) Measure the 1.5 cups Dates pitted ,1 cup Coconut Manna with the 1/2 cup of Purified Water in the blender. Add the 1 teaspoon Vanilla and Almond extracts and Persian Masala. Blend the we ingredients until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Stirring with a spatula if the mixture gets stuck. Now use the spatula scrape the date cream from the blender into a medium mixing bowl. Add the1/2 cup almond flour, raw cacao powder and coconut flakes. Place the other 1/2 cup of coconut flakes in a bowl and set aside for rolling. Combine all of the ingredients together and then place the bowl in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes in order to the firm dough. When the mixture is firm remove it from the refrigerator and begin rolling the balls. To make the perfect size use a Tablespoon to scoop the mix out and roll with your hands to form the ball shape. Coat the ball in the coconut with another roll and place the balls on a plate or in a storage container.
