If you are feeling a little heavy after all of the wonderful holiday indulgences you may want to partake in a fun cleansing smoothie to refresh your liver, enhance your digestion and delight your senses in a totally healthy way. This recipe is best when the grapefruit and apples are fresh and in Season.

ingredients:
1 c. grapefruit juice
1 c. purified water
1 c. arugula
1 pear or apple (remove core and slice in quarters)
2 inch of ginger with skin (be generous here)
1 T. golden flax or chia seeds (soaked for at least 30 minutes or overnight)
2 t. up to 1 T. vita mineral greens (or whatever green powder you have on hand)

directions:
place all ingredients in a blender and blend on high until smooth.
drink and enjoy.
