1 c toasted sunflower seeds (ground in Vitamix)
1/2-3/4 c red onion chopped and sauted (approx. ½ onion)
1 elephant clove, grated
1.5 c grated sweet potato (1 sweet potato)
1 bouillon cube (Edward n Son’s is my favorite)
1/3 c buckwheat pancake mix
salt and pepper to taste
1 egg  optional (add last after taste testing for salt and seasoning)


Toast seeds in iron skillet and grind seeds in Vitamix.
Chop and grate onion and garlic and place in pan to sauté with  2-3 Tbl coconut oil for 10 minutes.
Add grated sweet potato and sauté for another 5-10 minutes.
Place in mixing bowl, add bouillon cube, buckwheat pancake mix and additional herbs or seasoning as desired. Taste test and mix in egg last.
Combine all ingredients and form into patties.
Fry in small amount of coconut oil on medium heat.
Or place on parchment paper in freezer to be cooked later.
